Get Ready, Get Set, Get Hired!

Join the Maryland School Counselor Association for our annual Graduate Student Seminar being held on Saturday, January 27th at Howard Community College, 10901 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044. Once at Howard Community College, please proceed to the Science Engineering and Technology (SET) Building, (first floor) Room SET101.

This will be a workshop where the focus will be to prepare future school counselors for the job application process.

Registration will only be $10.00 for MSCA Members and $15.00 for non-members.

MSCA will be accepting registrations in advance on-line so register today! Walk-ins at the event will also be accepted. Please bring cash or a check made out to the Maryland School Counselor Association if you register at the event.

9:30 - 9:45am: Opening Remarks (Kelly Ruby, MSCA)
9:45 - 10:00am: Where Do I Start? - Preparing for the Job Application Process (Xiomara Medina, MSCA)
10:00 - 10:45am: Bring It On: Interviewing Strategies for School Counseling Candidates (Eunice Humphrey, MSCA)
10:45 - 11:00am: Brief Break
11:00 - 12:00pm: Insight Into the Hiring Process - Panel of Maryland School Counseling Coordinators
12:00pm: Closing Remarks

A light breakfast will be included with the price of admission. We still suggest you bring a snack.
